The Nordic Folk Alliance 2021 canceled
The showcase and conference festival Nordic Folk Alliance 2021 has been canceled. The Nordic festival for people and nordicana will not take place as usual in Gothenburg in March 2021. After a tough 2020, we had looked forward to gathering and exchanging music, ideas, experiences and networks. But it is still difficult to plan for 2021, and we will not expose either those who will arrange and those who will participate to additional concerns about whether or not it is possible to hold events during the spring of 2021.
Nordic Folk Alliance is adjusting in 2021. From one event to activity all year round!
The Nordic Folk Alliance team has seen opportunities in thinking new, and in how we can continue to spread Nordic folk music across all national borders - in the Nordic region and beyond. In 2020, we have tested several platforms and projects, and we will create more activity throughout the year, and create more opportunities to share music and people.
Nordic Folk Alliance is planning networking sessions, synch sessions and a mentoring scheme - and will launch this on an ongoing basis.
If you want to participate or have ideas, contact your National Export Office.
