We are looking forward to welcoming you to Gothenburg, Sweden for the ninth UNESCO Global Media and Information Literacy Feature Conference 2019.
We are happy to announce that the UNESCO MIL Feature Conference will be hosted by the county council Region Västra Götaland in collaboration with University of Gothenburg, the Swedish National Commission for UNESCO, MILID University Network and GAPMIL.
Parts of the UNESCO MIL Feature Conference will be held in close conjunction with the Gothenburg book fair. The city is hosting the largest book fair in Scandinavia where 90 000 librarians, teachers and citizens gather for four days in September every year. In 2019, the Swedish conference hosts in collaboration with Gothenburg Book Fair has announced Media and Information Literacy as one of three main themes at the fair.
We hope that the global conference will provide a forum for exchange of ideas, new influences and inspiration to a great variety of participants such as experts, academics, and other civil society actors and practitioners of MIL.
